New York, NY – December 17, 2018 – ALM Intelligence – Consulting division, previously known as Kennedy Consulting, has released its 2018 ratings of The ALM Vanguard: Divestitures Consulting providers. Seven firms were identified as leaders in the consulting industry: Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, McKinsey & Company, and PwC. ALM Intelligence defines divestitures as the transaction advisory process wherein organizations execute the divestiture of assets in line with a portfolio and capital strategy through asset identification, due diligence, bidding process management, capital markets, and separation planning services. This includes all sell-side M&A activities: divestitures, carve-outs, spin-offs, IPOs, and etc.

“Divestitures continue to grow as a portion of M&A, but the low-hanging fruit is gone, leaving assets whose value needs to be scrutinized more,” said Tomek Jankowski, Senior Research Analyst at ALM Intelligence. “At the same time, there is intense pressure to accelerate the execution process of deals, putting tremendous pressure on consulting providers to compress the process while at the same time helping clients achieve the expected value from deals.”

Kearney Holdings Limited, AlixPartners, Alvarez & Marsal Holdings, LLC; Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP; Crowe LLP, Duff & Phelps Corporation, First Key Consulting, FTI Consulting, Inc.; Grant Thornton International, Ltd.; Houlihan Lokey, Inc.; L.E.K. Consulting, Mercer LLC, North Highland, Stax, and West Monroe Partners, LLC. Other firms that were rated include: Accenture LLP, Centric Consulting, goetzpartners, Greenhill & Co., Logan Consulting, Oliver Wyman Group, and Rothschild & Co.
